More Than a Market

The Advance Farmers Market is a mission-based market. Vendor fees support mission projects through Advance First Baptist Church. The market also proudly participates in the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) and has begun donating fresh produce to the Serving Our Neighbors group, extending its impact beyond the market.

“Our goal is to provide opportunities for farmers to sell their fresh produce, meat, eggs, honey, and plants to local people,” said Carolyn Shoaf, the market’s director. “As 1 Peter 4:10-11 reminds us: Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others… so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.
