Science Matters: Hands-On Discovery Community Day
Join us for Free at Science Matters: Hands-On Discovery Day, a special community event presented as part of the North Carolina Science Festival (NC SciFest), a statewide celebration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Families and kids of all ages are invited to explore hands-on science activities in Cognition Davie’s outdoor green space. Participants can grab a Science Passport and rotate through interactive stations where they can experiment, build, and discover how science connects to everyday life.
This free community event encourages curiosity, creativity, and discovery for learners of all ages.

Guests who pre-register for the event will receive free admission to the museum from 10 a.m. – noon by showing their event ticket at the museum check-in desk.
