Held the Friday night before Thanksgiving, this must-see holiday kickoff in Downtown Mocksville features teams racing decorated beds on wheels down Main Street. Costumes, themes, and small-town hilarity are guaranteed.

Cooleemee Christmas Parade

Join the annual parade in Cooleemee, featuring festive floats, classic cars, and community groups under the glow of holiday lights on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, starting at Cooleemee Elementary and winding through town to the historic Zachary House. After the parade, stay for the “Old-Time Christmas” celebration, which includes visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, hot chocolate and cider, holiday readings, and the popular fudge contest.
