Concerts in the Park: Big Sounds, Big Summer Nights

Located just a short drive from downtown Mocksville, Concerts in the Park at Davie County Community Park’s outdoor amphitheater, 151 Southwood Drive, brings nationally recognized talent and crowd favorites to the stage. Enjoy live music all summer long on select Saturday nights at 7:00 p.m.

June 6 – Clay Walker with Carolina Clay – 7 p.m.

A true country music star, Clay Walker has been a staple of the genre since the early 1990s, earning multiple platinum albums and six No. 1 hits, including “What’s It to You” and “Live Until I Die.” His traditional country sound and decades of success make this a must-see kickoff to the series.

Carolina Clay joins him for a night rooted in country tradition. Mocksville native Heather Foster’s music is the soundtrack of a life steeped in both struggle and triumph. Under the stage name Carolina Clay, she has woven a rich tapestry of sound that blends the raw storytelling of country, the heartache of Americana, and the soul of Southern rock. 

July 4 – Chris Taylor & The Rumor with The Resistance –  7 p.m.

Celebrate Independence Day and America’s 250th Birthday with an unforgettable night of live music,
community, and celebration. Chris Taylor & The Rumor will get the party going with favorite rock, pop, and soul hits spanning the 70s, 80s, 90s, and today, while The Resistance brings high-energy 80s and 90s hard rock and power ballads that will have the crowd singing along all night long. Enjoy food trucks, beverages available for purchase, and festive entertainment leading up to a fantastic pyrotechnic fireworks show. Bring your family and friends and be part of this once-in-a-generation celebration honoring our nation’s independence in a big way.

August 1 – Paul Wall with Quad City DJ’s –  7 p.m.

Get ready for a genre-spanning night as Paul Wall brings his signature Southern hip-hop style to the stage alongside the Quad City DJs, known for high-energy tracks that keep crowds moving. It’s a fun, high-energy night you won’t want to miss.

VIP Concert Package

Davie County Recreation and Parks is offering a new VIP concert package for this year’s concerts. The package includes premium parking, a VIP seating area, priority beverage access, and a quick exit after the show. The cost is $50 per vehicle (up to 8 guests), and pre-registration is required. Concerts on the Square: Downtown Mocksville Nights

Another of the season’s highlights is the beloved Concerts on the Square series in downtown Mocksville. This free community concert series brings friends, families, and visitors together for unforgettable nights under the stars.

June 20 – The Band Tess – 7–10 p.m.

One of Mocksville’s favorite hometown bands, The Band Tess, takes the stage with a lively mix of Blues, Beach, Country, Funk, and Rock. Sing along to favorites from artists like Sheryl Crow, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Jimmy Buffett, and the Eagles.

August 15 – Moxie – 7–10 p.m.

Get your groove on as Moxie delivers a high-energy night of dance music, R&B, and Funk from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s. Expect a lively crowd, plenty of dancing, and a true community celebration.
